Jesus, Our Hope

Our Bible Reading for today is only one verse. “Greetings from Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus. I am an apostle by the command of God our Savior and Christ Jesus our hope.” But this verse tells us a lot about Paul.
One place we can read about Paul’s life is in Acts, chapter 26. In these verses we learn that Paul was a Jew who did bad things to Christians. But Jesus told Paul that he was not pleasing God. Then Paul became a Christian and started truly following God.
When Paul became a Christian, he had a new hope in his life. He had the hope of God’s blessings on earth and eternal life in heaven. Jesus truly was Paul’s hope. Paul depended on Him for everything in his life.
Paul was not afraid to tell everyone that Jesus was his hope and his Savior. We should share with people we meet that Jesus is our hope. Then they will want to have Jesus as their hope, too.
