Jesus’ Prayers (4)

Our Bible Reading today is a prayer Jesus prayed the night He was arrested. In this prayer, Jesus prayed for Himself, His disciples and all people who would accept Him as their Savior.
In verses 6-19, Jesus prayed for His disciples. He had been working with these people for three years. Jesus taught and protected His disciples. But now He was ready to go back to God. Jesus prayed that God would protect these disciples from the devil.
Jesus’ disciples were His friends. He wanted them to continue to be close to God. This is an example for us. We, too, should want our friends and family members to have a relationship with God.
Think about at least one friend or family member who needs to be close to God. Pray for them every day. Ask God to help you encourage them and be a good example for them.
