The short book of Jude was written by a man named Jude. He called himself, “a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James” (Jude 1).
Jude wrote this letter to Christians. He wanted to warn them about people who come into the church and encourage Christians to sin. In verses 18b-19a, Jude talked about these people. “‘In the last times, there will be people who laugh about God.’ These people do only the things they want to do — things that are against God. These are the people who divide you.”
Maybe you have experienced people who have come into your church and tried to draw Christians away from God. Be alert and ask God to help you find these people and stop them.
Jude closes his letter with words of encouragement for all Christians. “He (God) is strong and can help you not to fall. He can bring you before his glory without any wrong in you and give you great joy” (verse 24).
