Justice

My co-workers and I were talking about a man who was arrested for doing terrible things. Then the man died in jail before his trial started. My co-workers were upset. They felt that the man should have stayed in prison for many years to pay for his crimes.

Things on earth are not always fair. Sometimes people do not receive the punishment we think they deserve. But as Christians, we know that someday God will judge all people who have ever lived. God’s justice will be good and fair. Someday Jesus will return and take His followers to live with Him forever. Our Bible verses today tell us that God is righteous and faithful. He is the very best Judge!

We should praise God that our sins are forgiven by Jesus’ death. Jesus paid the full price for our sins when He died on the cross. Thank God today for His justice and forgiveness.

BIBLE VERSE: “But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God to do this. He always does what is right. He will make us clean from all the wrong things we have done.” 1 John 1:9

PRAYER: I praise You, God. Your justice is righteous and fair. Thank You for forgiveness through Jesus. In His name. Amen.
