“Leap of Faith”

A squirrel sat on a bird feeder and stuffed himself with nuts and seeds. The people who owned the feeder were determined to keep the squirrel away. So they bought a feeder that was labeled “squirrel-proof.”

The new bird feeder had an upside-down bowl that was supposed to throw the squirrel off if he jumped on it. Soon after the new bird feeder was installed, a squirrel came close. He sat and watched the feeder sway back and forth in the wind. Then with a big jump, he took off and landed on the underside of the bowl. He wrapped his tail around the top and fed himself upside down!

Some people would say that squirrel took a “leap of faith.” He believed that he could jump and land on the feeder. Sometimes in our Christian life, we need to take a “leap of faith.” It is very important that our actions show that we have faith in God. Hebrews 11:1-2 explains what faith really is. “Faith is what makes real the things we hope for. It is proof of what we cannot see. God was pleased with people who lived a long time ago because they had faith like this.”

No matter what happens to you, you need to keep on believing in God and His Word. Trust God today!
