Let God Help You

A toddler was walking along the beach with her father. At first she told her father, “I want to walk by myself. I don’t want to be carried.”
The little girl and her father continued to walk and talk. But soon she became tired, and she felt very sleepy. So she reached her arms up to her father. Now she was ready to give up her independence and allow her father to carry her.
Sometimes we behave like that little child. We choose to be independent and ignore God. But then we become tired and discouraged. We reach out to God, and He gladly accepts our burdens.
Our Bible Reading today shows us a beautiful picture of God as a shepherd who leads his sheep. God truly is our shepherd, and He will take care of us all the time, not just when we are afraid or frustrated.
Reach out to God today. Let Him help you live for Him.
