Letter to Ephesus (1)

Paul traveled to many cities to tell people about Jesus. One of those cities was Ephesus. The book of Ephesians in the New Testament is a letter that Paul wrote to Christians in Ephesus.
In our Bible Reading, Paul said that he prayed for the Christians in Ephesus and thanked God for them. Paul’s prayer was that God “will give you the Spirit, who will let you know truths about God and help you understand them, so that you will know him better” (verse 17b).
These verses help me understand that Paul really loved the Ephesian Christians. I, too, love my brothers and sisters in Christ. When I pray, I thank God for them and ask that they will know God better. Then, I encourage these Christians by telling them that I pray for them.
God is awesome, loving, forgiving and merciful. We should want everyone to know Him better. Thank God today for other Christians and pray that they will know God better.
