Missionaries

Our Bible Reading today tells us that Jesus chose 72 men. Then Jesus sent these men to “every town and place where he planned to go” (verse 1b).
Before Jesus sent these men out, He gave them some instructions. He told them not to take any money or extra clothing with them. “Stay in the peaceful house. Eat and drink what the people there give you” (verse 7a).
Some people today travel to new places to tell people about Jesus. We call these people missionaries. Most missionaries work very hard, and some of them are even killed because they follow Jesus and teach about Him.
But you don’t have to go to a foreign country to be a missionary. You can be a missionary in your own neighborhood. Find people who live on your street who are not Christians. Become their friend and share God’s love with them.
Look for ways to be a missionary today!
