Nature (7)

When I was young, I went camping in the mountains with my family. At night I would crawl into my sleeping bag and look up at the stars.
Our Bible Reading tells us that “God also made the stars. God put these lights in the sky to shine on the earth” (verses 16b-17a). As I lay in my sleeping bag, I would think about God making the stars. I would try and find the Big Dipper, the Little Dipper, the North Star, Orion (my favorite constellation!), Venus, Jupiter and Mars. I would say to my brother, “Can you imagine counting all the stars? How long do you think it would take to count the stars?”
When I grew up, I read Psalm 147:4. “God counts the stars and knows the name of each and every one.” God not only knows how many stars there are, He has given each a name!
God is so awesome! Look at the stars tonight. Watch them twinkle. Then thank God for all He has made. Praise Him because He is so powerful and loving.
