No Worries

The housing development where I live is also a bird sanctuary. This is a place where birds are safe and protected. I can see birds of many different sizes, colors and shapes such as robins, orioles, cranes and bald eagles.
I hung a bird feeder on two trees in my front yard. Every day I enjoy watching birds eat from the feeders. The birds eat so much that I have to refill the feeders every week. So, I was concerned when I planned to be out of town for a month. I asked myself, “What will the birds eat?” I started to worry about the birds.
But then I remembered verse 26 of today’s Bible Reading. “Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or save food in barns. But your heavenly Father feeds those birds. And you know that you are worth much more than the birds.” Birds don’t worry about what they will eat. They know that God will provide for them.
What are you worried about? Health? Money? Children? Your job? Birds don’t worry, and we shouldn’t worry either. God will take care of us.
