Obeying God

God wants you to obey Him so He can help you become a strong Christian. When we obey God, He blesses us. But if you do not obey God, you will miss many wonderful things that God has planned for you.
The Bible gives us many examples of people who obeyed God and examples of people who did not obey God. Adam and Eve did not obey God. They ate the fruit from the tree that gives knowledge about good and evil (Genesis 3:1-6). Abraham obeyed God by being willing to sacrifice his son, Isaac (Genesis 22:8-19).
In our Bible Reading, we learn that King Saul did not obey God. Samuel said in verse 22b, “It is better to obey God than to offer sacrifices to him.” Most importantly, Jesus obeyed God. Jesus was willing to die on the cross. Why? Because He wanted to obey God’s will.
We all face decisions in life. We should ask God to help us obey Him in every situation. God has promised to bless us for our obedience.
