You and I have been created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27). Our Bible Reading today tells us how He feels about His creation. Verses 5 and 6 say, “But people are important to you! You made people almost like gods. And you crowned them with glory and honor. You put people in charge of everything you made.”
It is an honor to be one of God’s people. Jesus came in the form of a man and lived on earth for about thirty-three years. We can learn from Jesus’ example as a man.
We don’t know much about the first thirty years of Jesus’ life. But it does not seem that he was rich, powerful, beautiful or famous. Often we judge ourselves or other people by those four things. And if we are not rich, powerful, beautiful or famous, we think that we are not important to God.
God loves you, and you are important to him, no matter how you look or how much money you have. Thank Him today for making you just the way you are!
