Praise Him!

When I look outside my house, I always see things that remind me to praise God. Blackbirds eating at my backyard bird feeder seem to be praising God and thanking Him for their food. On the lake near my house, anhinga birds stand and spread their wings. They look like a person lifting his arms and praising God.
Today’s Bible Reading talks about Jesus entering Jerusalem. Many followers gathered to praise Him. Some of the Jewish leaders told Jesus, “Teacher, tell your followers not to say these things” (verse 39b). But Jesus answered, “I tell you, if my followers didn’t say them, these stones would shout them” (verse 40b).
Jesus was saying that if we don’t praise God, then things in nature will praise Him. This reminds us that we should always be praising and thanking God for what He has done.
Take time today to think about all the wonderful things God has done for you. Then say, “I praise You, Lord, for all that You are and for all that You have done for me!”
