Pray Hard

All Christians need to pray. But many times we don’t pray, or we only pray when we have problems. In our Bible Reading today, James reminds us to pray all the time, not just when we are facing problems. We should pray when we are happy. We should pray every day and thank God for His love and help.
James 5:16b says, “When a good person prays hard, great things happen.” What does it mean to pray hard? Praying hard can mean that you really focus on what you are praying about. Or it can mean praying often. James gives us the example of Elijah. He prayed that it would not rain, and there was no rain for three and a half years. Then Elijah prayed that it would rain, and it did.
Imagine if all the Christians in the world prayed hard. Probably God would cause many more wonderful things to happen in our lives. Remember to take time today to pray. Thank God for what He has done for you. Ask Him to give you strength to serve Him today.
