Prayer (1)

Do you like to pray? Many people think that praying is something we only do when we eat or right before we sleep at night. Praying is much more than that! Did you know that in the New Testament, prayer is mentioned more than 165 times? This shows us that it is very important for us to pray.
In our Bible Reading today, James says that we should pray when we are in trouble, when we are happy, if we are sick or if we sin. That sounds like we should pray all the time!
At first, it’s not easy to pray all the time. But the more we practice praying, the better we become. A good way to start practicing now is to pray short prayers during your daily routine. For example, when I take a walk, I thank God for the beautiful day. While I am washing the dishes, I thank God for my husband who works to provide the food we eat.
I encourage you to pray more today. Thank God for all He has done for you!
