Prayer Warriors

Every day the disciples worked with Jesus and heard Him pray. One day a disciple said, “Lord, teach us how to pray too” (Luke 11:1b).
Jesus showed them how to pray, and then he told a story about a man whose friend came to town. The man had nothing to feed his friend. So late at night, the man went to his neighbor’s house and asked for some food. The neighbor said (verse 7), “Go away! Don’t bother me! The door is already locked. My children and I are in bed. I cannot get up and give you the bread now.” Jesus finished by saying (verse 8b), “But he will surely give you what you need if you continue to ask.”
Jesus was telling His disciples that they should not give up praying. In verse 9, Jesus said, “So I tell you, continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door will open for you.”
Don’t give up praying. Continue to ask God to help you and give you what you need.
