Verse 17a of our Bible Reading today says, “I speak to God evening, morning, and noon.” What does it mean to pray evening, morning and noon? Does it mean that we should pray exactly three times a day?
I think to pray evening, morning and noon means that we should always have close communication with God. But how can we have that kind of close communication?
First, we need to confess our sins. Tell God that you disobeyed Him and that you are sorry. Second, read the Bible every day so you can learn God’s thoughts. Third, keep a prayer to God in your mind all day. Remember that 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Never stop praying.”
Fourth, plan a special time each day when you are alone and you can pray to God. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:6a, “When you pray, you should go into your room and close the door. Then pray to your Father.” Finally, pay attention to how God speaks to you through His Word and through other Christians.
I hope you will pray evening, morning and noon!
