Imagine that you are watching a beautiful kite fly across a clear, blue sky. How do you feel? Probably you feel happy and peaceful. Now imagine that you put a backpack full of rocks on your shoulders. How do you feel now? Probably you feel stressed-out and tired. That is how most people feel when they face problems in life.
Sometimes when we have a problem, we ask God, “Why is this problem happening to me?” God doesn’t always let us know why we have a problem, but God does give us strength to face that problem. Verse 5 of our Bible Reading says, “I am waiting for the Lord to help me. My soul waits for him. I trust what the Lord says.” The writer of this psalm trusted God to help him.
Often we see people who seem to have perfect lives. They may have good jobs and lots of money. But these people have problems, too. All people face difficult times in their lives. That’s why Christians should encourage each other to keep trusting God.
Don’t let your problems overcome you. Depend on God and His strength today.
