Prophecies (3)

The prophet Jeremiah lived about 470 years before Jesus. One of God’s prophecies through Jeremiah is written in Jeremiah 31:15: “This is what the Lord says: ‘A sound is heard in Ramah — bitter crying and great sadness. Rachel cries for her children, and she refuses to be comforted, because her children are gone.’”
Our Bible Reading tells us that King Herod was very angry. He gave an order to kill all baby boys two years old and younger in and around Bethlehem. Why? Because King Herod wanted to kill baby Jesus. Many baby boys were killed. But God protected Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.
God knows what will happen long before it happens. This proves that our God is real and all-knowing. We can believe and trust whatever God says will happen.
Christmas is often a busy time. Take some time to relax. Think about God. Praise Him because He knows everything!
