Psalm 119 (7)

1476255600In the past, I have sat in rooms where I didn’t want to be. One time I waited in a medical clinic to find out if I had cancer or not. Another time I sat in a hospital room, waiting to see if my husband was alive or not after his accident. I also sat in a doctor’s office waiting to learn about my son’s medical tests.
In all of these situations, God’s Word gave me peace and hope. As I waited in these places, I remembered Bible verses like “Don’t be afraid, because the Lord your God will be with you” (Joshua 1:9b) and “Don’t worry — I am with you. Don’t be afraid — I am your God” (Isaiah 41:10a).
When I remember Bible verses that tell me God’s promises, I find hope and strength. In verse 49 of our Bible Reading, the writer says that God’s promises give him hope.
I hope you will depend on God’s promises to give you peace, strength and hope today.
