Reach Out to Others

While Paul was traveling, he met a man named Timothy. Timothy’s father was a Greek, but his mother was a Jew. Timothy became a Christian and followed Jesus.
Paul wanted to take Timothy with him to tell Jewish people about Jesus. But Paul was worried that some Jews might be upset because Timothy had never been circumcised according to the Jewish law. Paul did not want this to be a problem and keep the Jews from learning about Jesus. Verse 3b of our Bible Reading tells us that “Paul circumcised Timothy to please the Jews.”
Sometimes we go to places where the people dress differently and have different customs. We may need to change the way we dress and our customs so that we can fit in with those people. Then they will pay attention to our message and follow Jesus.
Ask God to help you today as you focus on Jesus and reach out to others with the Good News of salvation.
