Ruth (1)

Ruth and her mother-in-law, Naomi, were widows – their husbands had died. Naomi wanted to leave Moab and go back to her home in Judah. Ruth decided to go with her. They traveled to the city of Bethlehem.
Later, Ruth met a man named Boaz. Ruth said to Boaz (2:10b), “I am a stranger, but you have been very kind to me.” Boaz answered, “I know about all the help you have given to Naomi, your mother-in-law…The Lord will reward you for all the good things you have done” (2:11b-12a).
When Ruth arrived in Judah, she was a stranger. Sometimes I feel like a stranger when I am around a lot of deaf people. I am hearing, and I am trying to be part of deaf culture. My deaf friends have been very kind to me. They have welcomed me into their group.
I thank God for deaf people who have been patient with me. We can all work together to share the Good News about Jesus.
