Sea of Galilee (2)

Today’s Bible Reading tells us that Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee and saw two brothers, Andrew and Peter. They were fishermen. Jesus said to them (verse 19b), “Come, follow me, and I will make you a different kind of fishermen. You will bring in people, not fish.” The next verse tells us that Peter and Andrew left their fishing nets and followed Jesus.
Then Jesus saw two other brothers, James and John. They were fishermen, too. Jesus asked them to follow Him, and they did. “So they immediately left the boat and their father, and they followed Jesus” (verse 22).
Peter, Andrew, James and John were the first of the 12 disciples that Jesus chose. These 12 men followed Jesus and learned from Him for about three years. They gave up their jobs so they could be with Jesus.
Sometime God may ask you to give up something so you can follow Him. I hope you are willing to give up everything to serve and obey God.
