Sea of Galilee (3)

Our Bible verses today tell us that Jesus and His followers were in a boat on the Sea of Galilee. While they were on the lake, a very bad storm came up.
When the storm happened, Jesus was asleep in the boat. Jesus’ followers were afraid, so they awoke Jesus. In verse 25b they said, “Lord, save us! We will drown!” Jesus stood up and told the wind and waves to stop. “The wind stopped, and the lake became very calm” (verse 26b).
We may face “storms” in our lives. These storms may be sickness, financial problems, divorce or challenges in our jobs. If we try to face these problems alone, we may feel scared — just like Jesus’ followers in the boat. We need God to help us with our problems.
What are you facing today? Are you lonely or discouraged? You can depend on God to help you through these problems. He is wise and knows what is best for you.
