Have you ever faced times when you were happy and everything was going well in your life, and then the next day you struggled with fear and depression? I think that all people have experienced both good and bad times in their lives.
The devil doesn’t want us to be happy and have peace. He likes it when we are confused and disappointed. The devil wants to take away our joy and watch us struggle in life. Our Bible Reading today talks about the devil. “The devil is your enemy, and he goes around like a roaring lion looking for someone to attack and eat” (verse 8b).
In our verses, Paul tells us what we should do when the devil attacks us. “Refuse to follow the devil. Stand strong in your faith” (verse 9a). We can depend on God to protect us when the devil tries to tempt us and discourage us.
Remember that you are God’s child and He loves you. He will protect and help you today.
