Study the Bible

A minister shared a plan of Bible study with me. I tried it, and I liked it. So now I want to share it with you. This plan has six questions to ask as you are studying Bible verses. We will look at our Bible Reading for today and answer these six questions.
1) Is there a promise for us? Verse 3 says, “But the Lord is faithful. He will give you strength and protect you from the Evil One (the devil).” 2) Is there a blessing for us? Verse 16a tells us, “We pray that the Lord of peace will give you peace.” 3) Is there a lesson for us to learn? In verse 8, Paul gives the example of working and not being a burden to other people.
4) Is there a command for us? Verse 6b says, “…we command you to stay away from any believer who refuses to work.” 5) Is there a sin that we should not do? In verse 13 we learn that we should not become tired of doing good things. 6) Is there an idea that we should apply to our lives? Verses 14-15 teach us that we should treat other Christians as brothers, not as enemies.
I hope this plan will help you when you study God’s Word.
