Travel (3)

Years ago, when you bought an airline ticket, you may have received a meal on the plane. But that doesn’t happen any more. You can buy food on the plane, but it is expensive. So when I travel, I try to bring some fruit for a snack.

In our Bible Reading, Paul talked about fruit. But he was not talking about apples and peaches. Paul was talking about good things that the Holy Spirit produces in our lives. Here are the nine “fruits” that Paul listed: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We need to depend on the Holy Spirit to develop these things in our lives.

I may not remember to take an apple or a peach on the plane when I travel. But I should remember to show these “fruits” in my life every day. When other people see these characteristics in my life, they will know that I follow Jesus. Then they will give honor to God.
