Traveling with Paul (5)

Timothy was another young man who traveled with Paul. Like Titus, Paul called Timothy “a true son to me in the faith we share” (1 Timothy 1:2).
Our Bible verses tell us about Timothy’s background. His father was Greek, and his mother was a Jew. Timothy’s mother, Eunice, and grandmother, Lois, taught him how to have faith in God.
In 1 Thessalonians 3:1b-2 Paul tells us more about Timothy. “Timothy is our brother. He works with us for God to tell people the Good News about Christ. We sent Timothy to strengthen and encourage you in your faith.” Timothy became a strong Christian because of his faith in God. That faith was taught to him by his mother and grandmother. This should be a reminder to us that we should teach children about God.
Teach your children and grandchildren and the children in your neighborhood about God. Show them God’s love and His Word.
