Trees (3)

A few years ago, I took a trip to Florida. While I was there, I saw an orange tree that was full of oranges. The oranges were not ripe yet. But soon the tree would be filled with ripe oranges, ready to pick.
Our Bible Reading tells us a story about a fig tree. The man who planted the fig tree was not happy. Why? Because after three years, the fig tree still did not grow any figs. This tree was useless. The man told his servant to destroy the tree.
When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we should grow “fruit.” This means that we should do good things. We should tell other people about Jesus. We should try to be like Jesus. We need to be “fruitful” Christians. We need to obey God’s Word and share the Good News about Jesus with our family and friends.
I hope you are growing good fruit for God. Look for opportunities today to share Jesus and do right things.
