Trust

Sometimes when I am backing my car out of our garage, my husband tells me how to steer the car so I will not hit his car. But sometimes I do not trust him to give me the right directions. Why? Because I think that I can see my car better than he can.
The alarm clock in my bedroom is set to go off at 5:00 and 5:15 in the morning. When the first alarm rings, I cannot go back to sleep and wait for the second alarm. Why? Because I do not trust the alarm. I am afraid that the second alarm will not ring and then I will oversleep.
The book of Proverbs has many wise teachings by King Solomon. He wrote these teachings so people would know the right things to do. In verses 5-6 of our Bible Reading, Solomon wrote, “Trust the Lord completely! Don’t depend on your own knowledge. Think about God in all that you do. Then he will help you.”
We should always trust God. Then we don’t need to worry about anything. We can trust God to take care of us and give us good things.
