Trust God

Many years ago there was a TV show called “Father Knows Best.” This show was about a family. Each week someone in the family had a problem. The father always knew how to solve the problem. In real life, we do not always know how to solve our problems.
God is our Father in heaven. He always knows what is best for us. That’s why we can trust Him. Verse 5b of Psalm 37 says, “Trust him, and he will do what must be done.” When David wrote these words, he knew that he could always depend on God to do what was best for him.
Verse 7a says, “Trust the Lord and wait for his help.” David had also learned that sometimes he had to wait for God to help him. Often we ask God to help us and then we expect Him to do something immediately. Sometimes God knows it is best for us to wait for His answer. Waiting is part of trusting Him.
Maybe right now you are waiting for God’s help. Be patient. Trust God and He will always take care of you.
