Wait Quietly

A friend told me that he felt closest to God when he was camping outdoors. He said he could feel God’s presence when he looked at the moon and the stars or watched the wind blowing the leaves on the trees.
Verse 7a of our Bible Reading today says, “Trust in the Lord and wait quietly for his help.” That verse encourages me to rest from my hectic lifestyle, give all my worries to God and let Him take control of my life.
We learn from the New Testament that Jesus went away to a mountain or lonely place so He could pray. Jesus knew that it was important to take a break from His work and spend time with God.
You probably have a busy schedule planned for today. You may face stressful situations throughout the day. Be sure to take time to pray. Quietly wait for God to give you peace and answers to your problems.
