Waiting (1)

When my sons were small, it was very hard for them to wait for Christmas Day to arrive. So we made a chain of paper links. As each day went by, we took one link off the chain. The chain became shorter and shorter until there was only one link left. My boys were always excited to realize that there was only one more day until Christmas!
Sometimes when we pray, God does not answer our prayers right away. It may be hard for us to wait for His answers. In verse 14 of our Bible Reading David wrote, “Wait for the Lord’s help. Be strong and brave, and wait for the Lord’s help.”
David knew about waiting. When Samuel anointed him as king, he had to wait twelve years before he finally became the king of Israel. While David was waiting, he depended on God to help him when King Saul tried to kill him.
Don’t become impatient today! Wait for God to answer your prayers. He is in control, and He knows what is best for you!
