Walking (3)

God freed the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Then He led them to a new land. God gave special laws to the Israelites so they would not worship false gods.
In our Bible Reading, God told the people they should teach His laws to their children. Verse 19 says, “Teach these laws to your children. Talk about these things when you sit in your houses, when you walk on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
God wanted His people to teach His laws all the time. If they were at home, they should remind their children about the laws. If they were going for a walk, they should talk about God’s commands.
We should do the same things with our children today. We should read the Bible to them. When we are outside, we should remind them of the things God has made. When our children lie down to sleep, we should tell them that God will take care of them. If we do this, our children will learn to follow God every day.
