Walking (4)

Missing Attachment”Teach these laws to your children. Talk about these things when you sit in your houses, when you walk on the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.” Moses received these words (Deuteronomy 11:19) from God and spoke them to the Israelites. It has always been God’s plan for fathers and mothers to teach their children about Him. In these verses, God reminds parents to take every opportunity to teach their children about His love and His commands.
When I was a child, my family drove 16 miles to church. My parents used that time in the car to teach me about God. We sang Christian songs and memorized Bible verses. We played Bible trivia games and talked about God’s creation. I have carried on that teaching with my children.
Remember these words from Deuteronomy and use every opportunity to teach your children about God. No matter what you are doing – sitting at the dinner table, walking in the park or tucking your children into bed at night – you should be sharing God’s love and rules with your children.
