Several years ago, people wore bracelets and T-shirts with the letters “WWJD” on them. These letters stood for “What would Jesus do?”
But I think the letters “WDJD” are more important. These letters stand for “What did Jesus do?” Our Bible reading today tells us what Jesus did while He was on earth. Jesus died for our sins, He was buried and “raised to life on the third day” (verse 4b).
Jesus gave up His own life so that our sins can be forgiven. He came to earth and lived a perfect life. Then Jesus died a cruel death to accept the punishment for our sins. Finally, He rose again and went to live with God.
Jesus is now waiting for you to believe in Him and accept Him as your Savior. Jesus wants to be a part of your life so that you can live forever with Him.
Now you know what Jesus did for you. So, what will you do? Jesus gave up His life for you. Will you give your life to Him today?
