Wearing Jesus

In our Bible Reading today, Paul tells that when people become Christians, they “wear” Jesus! Verses 26-27 say, “You were baptized into Christ. So you were all clothed with Christ. This shows that you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.”
If I am a member of an athletic team, I wear a special uniform. This uniform shows that I am a member of the team. In the same way, when we become a member of God’s family, we “wear” Jesus. We do this by trying to do the things Jesus did. Then we become like Him. Other people look at us and know that we belong to Jesus.
Our Bible Reading continues to tell us that all Christians are the same in Jesus. There are no different cultures or skin colors. Verse 28 says, “You are all the same in Christ Jesus.” God sees me as a person who wants to follow and obey Him.
I hope you are wearing Jesus today. If not, you can start by reading God’s Word and learning how you can become part of His family.
