What is Faith?

What is faith? The Bible gives us a very clear definition of what faith is. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is what makes real the things we hope for. It is proof of what we cannot see.”
That is a very good explanation of faith! We cannot see God or heaven now, but we know they are there. How do we know? Because God gives us faith. We can trust Him.
Many people say God is not real because we cannot see Him. That is not faith. God has given us enough evidence to believe in Him and have faith in Him. God’s Word says clearly that God is real and He is with us. Jeremiah 23:23 says, “This message is from the Lord. ‘I am God, and I am always near. I am not far away.’”
Look at the grass, sky, trees, flowers, animals and people. There had to be a Creator who made all those things. Who is the Creator? God! Hebrews 3:4 says, “Every house is built by someone, but God built everything.”
We cannot see God, but He has given us enough proof to have faith in Him. Remember God is real and faithful to us. Have faith in Him, too!
