Who is Jesus? (1)

If someone asked you who Jesus is, what would your answer be? In this series of devotions, we will find out what Jesus’ friends, heavenly beings and His enemies had to say about Him. Then, you can share these answers with other people!
John the Baptist was someone who knew Jesus. John’s mother and Jesus’ mother were cousins, so John and Jesus were cousins, too. John was born six months before Jesus.
John was a baptizer. He baptized many people in the Jordan River. John challenged people to follow Jesus. In verse 29b of our Bible Reading, John said something about Jesus. “Look, the Lamb of God. He takes away the sins of the world!” John proclaimed that Jesus was the Lamb of God, the One who would die on a cross to take away our sins. John wanted people to know this.
Be like John. Be bold. Go and tell others that Jesus is the Lamb of God. And tell them that Jesus can take away their sins!
