Who is Jesus? (3)

John was the author of the book of Revelation, and he was one of Jesus’ twelve disciples. John is also known as “the follower that Jesus loved” (John 13:23). John spent about three years with Jesus. He saw Jesus perform miracles and teach many people.
When John was old, he was sent to live on the island of Patmos. John was forced to go there because people did not want him to teach about Jesus. While John was on the island, Jesus told him things that would happen in the future. John wrote down the things Jesus told him.
What did John say about Jesus? In verse 5b of our Bible Reading, John said, “Jesus is the faithful witness. He was first among those to be raised from death. Jesus is the ruler of the kings of the earth. Jesus is the One who loves us. And Jesus is the One who made us free from our sins with his blood (death).”
This is exciting! Praise God! Be like John. Share John’s words with others today.
