Worry and Fear (6)

Sometimes a husband goes away to another city to look for a job. He tells his wife and children not to worry. He will find a new job and a place to live. Then he will come back for them.

In our Bible Reading, Jesus told His disciples that He was going away. Then they were worried and afraid. But Jesus told them He was leaving to prepare a new home for them. He said in verse 3, “After I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back. Then I will take you with me, so that you can be where I am.”

Most people worry about things they have never seen. We have not seen the place that Jesus has prepared for us. But we should not be afraid of Jesus’ return and living forever with Him. We should look forward to the time when we will see Jesus and live with Him.

Jesus loves you and has made a special home for you. Don’t be afraid. Instead, trust Him and thank Him for His wonderful gift of salvation.
