Director’s Letter

Please read the article about “Overcoming Isolation” before reading this article.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Special moments….very special moments:

  • I was truly honored to be among those at the Omaha, Nebraska, airport welcoming Joseph and Nicole Josselyn as they came back from Liberia with two Deaf orphans, Hadassah and JP. So encouraging to know that Hadassah and JP would no longer experience the deep isolation they went through while living in an orphanage.
  • I’ve been blessed to witness Joseph and Nicole effectively communicate God’s Word with Hadassah and JP using American Sign Language (ASL).
  • And it was with tremendous joy that, with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, I stood and watched Hadassah and JP proclaim their faith in Jesus in sign language – their native, heart language – and being baptized by their parents in their own home!

They were very, very special moments indeed!

The Apostle John wrote in 3 John 4, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”  John is right…there is no greater joy than seeing people come to Jesus, including Hadassah and JP.

Thank you so very much for your partnership with us in transforming Deaf lives around the world with the Gospel of Jesus.  Praise God the entire New Testament is available now in ASL.  And we appreciate your continued prayers and financial support as we work diligently towards our goal of completing translation of the Old Testament in ASL by the year 2020, thereby giving Deaf people their first ever complete Bible in a sign language!

Will you please consider making an investment in impacting Deaf people for eternity with a gift of $65/verse or join our 2020 Circle by giving $2020?  You may make your donation online or mail your check to Deaf Missions.  God bless you for what you will give.

Gratefully,

Chad Entinger
