Deaf Missions has had inquiries about being the recipient of donations as part of an estate plan.  You may donate to our general fund or for a specific ministry area such as Bible translation or the Deaf Missions Training Center.  You may leave Deaf Missions a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate.  There are different ways you may accomplish this and have an impact even after you’ve arrived at your mansion past the pearly gates.  Here are a couple ideas:

Wills and Trusts

(sample language)

I hereby give to Deaf Missions, an Iowa 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation (Tax ID – 42-0981263) with its principal office at 21199 Greenview Road, Council Bluffs, IA 51503 PH 712.322.5493 the sum of $_____ (you fill in an amount) or (you fill in) ______% of the residue of my estate, to be used for its general ministry purposes.

The amount can be in dollars or a percentage, but not both.  If you would like to designate your gift to a specific part of our ministry, we (and/or your attorney) can help you with the wording.

Life Insurance

Consider naming Deaf Missions as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy.  You would pick the dollar amount or percentage.  The death benefit proceeds are paid directly to Deaf Missions from the insurance company that issued the policy.  You work directly with your insurance agent/company to accomplish this using the beneficiary designation form.  Be sure they know Deaf Missions is an Iowa 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation (Tax ID – 42-0981263) with its principal office at 21199 Greenview Road, Council Bluffs, IA 51503 PH 712.322.5493.
