Give on DAF Day

What is DAF Day?

DAF Day is an annual giving push that happens the second Thursday of October. It is a day dedicated specifically for gifts from donor-advised funds. It was started by Chariot in 2024, and it has quickly become the single biggest DAF giving day of the year.

Giving through donor-advised funds, or DAFs, is the fastest-growing form of charitable giving in America. Think of the fund as a 401(k) for philanthropic giving. When you contribute to a DAF account, you receive an immediate tax benefit, and then, over time, you can recommend grants to your favorite ministries, like Deaf Missions, who are making an eternal impact.

Join thousands of other donors participating in DAF Day on October 8!

Why does DAF Day matter to Deaf Missions?

Billions of dollars are sitting in donor-advised funds across the country. That's an extraordinary reserve of generosity waiting to reach the organizations that can use those funds to share the gospel with a lost world.

By 2030, we have the goal of translating JESUS: a Deaf Missions film into 100 sign languages and sign-dubbing each translation in a visually accessible format so Deaf people around the world can experience this for Deaf by Deaf film in American Sign Language AND their heart sign language.

We are working with a network of ministry leaders and filmmakers around the world to make this possible. Won't you join us?

How to give through your DAF

Giving from your donor-advised fund is easier than you might think. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your DAF account.

Visit the website of the institution that holds your funds — National Christian Foundation, Fidelity Charitable, Vanguard, Wells Fargo, or any number of others.

  2. Recommend a grant to Deaf Missions.

Search for Deaf Missions (EIN: 00-0000000) in your provider's grant portal and enter the amount you'd like to give. Our address is 21199 Greenview Rd, Council Bluffs, IA 51503.

  3. Submit your grant recommendation.

Your DAF provider will process the gift and send it directly to us. You'll receive confirmation and a personal thank you from us.
