ASL Bible · A Simple Path

You can be a disciple-maker

Reaching Deaf people with the good news of Jesus can begin with one simple step: invite a few friends, family, or neighbors to watch JESUS: a Deaf Missions film together. We’ll guide you from there.

Four steps. One journey.

You won’t be teaching. God’s Word does the heavy lifting — you simply make space for it.

Step one

Start with Jesus

Host a movie night and watch JESUS: a Deaf Missions film together. Invite friends, family, church members, or people from your local Deaf community.

The film gives powerful visual context for the life and ministry of Jesus — and opens the door to natural conversation.

Step two

Continue through Scripture together

Keep meeting to watch the Gospels and the book of Acts in the ASL Bible app.

Move at a pace that works for your group — one chapter each gathering, or several at a time.

Step three

Discuss what you watch

After each chapter or section, ask three simple questions:

  • 1 What was the story about?
  • 2 How did God speak to you?
  • 3 What are you going to do about it?

Your role is simply to create space for people to engage with God’s Word and share what they’re learning.

Step four

Encourage the next step

As people encounter Jesus through Scripture, many will naturally want to keep growing.

That step may be following Jesus, reading more of the Bible, joining a local church, connecting with Christian community, or inviting others to begin the same journey.

Celebrate the journey

Finishing a book of the Bible is worth celebrating. Mark the milestones along the way.

If you start a group, we’d love to know. Share your progress and send a photo each time your group finishes a book — your story may inspire someone else to begin.
