Deaf Missions is an international Christian ministry dedicated to clearly communicating the Gospel of Jesus with Deaf people through their heart language, culture, and identity. We serve people in more than 100 countries and 60 denominations while keeping our focus narrow:

Creating epic video content in sign language
Encouraging the development of Gospel communities
Equipping Deaf leaders with access to resources and training in their heart language

Milestones

1970

Deaf Missions is founded as an international Christian ministry dedicated to Deaf people.
Through the years

Productions include the syndicated children’s television series Dr. Wonder’s Workshop, Finger Food Cafe and other children’s videos, numerous short ASL-storytelling features, and a first feature-length film based on the book of Job.
2020

The ASLV is complete — the first full translation of the Bible in any sign language, the American Sign Language Version.
2024

JESUS: a Deaf Missions film opens in theaters — a feature film entirely in American Sign Language, grown from the 8-minute proof-of-concept short Uncondemned.
